Q: What is the warranty on the seat covers. A: Our Lifetime Guarantee is the best in the industry. We will repair or replace any seat cover with a manufacture defect or workmanship issue for as long as you own your car, truck or Jeep. All that is needed is for the defective part to be sent back to our warehouse and we will ake care of the rest at no charge. Simply contact us for a warranty authorization at any time, if needed.
Q: Is fading covered under this warranty?
A: All materials eventually fade when exposed to the elements such as sun, wind, sweat and water. Our seat covers are no exception. However, we will cover premature fading which is defined as significant color change within one year without a UV Protectant being used or three years with appropriate UV Protection.
Q: What is significant color change according to the warranty?
A: If the color has changed, for example, from black to grey, red to pink, charcoal grey to light grey, then this is significant color change and we will replace the seat covers with a new set. We realize this may be vague and open for interpretation but we are not here to deny your claim and want to make sure you are completely satisfied with the purchase not only in the beginning but also in the future.
Q: What is appropriate UV Protection according to the warranty?
A: This depends on the degree of exposure to the elements. If you live in the sun belt and leave your top off most of the year then you may need to apply every three months. However, if you are in Canada or other colder climates then you would need to apply the spray yearly. This distinction is, once again, not a science. Please follow the directions on the back of the UV product for more information and apply often for full protection.
Q: How is it determined if UV Protectant has been applied according to the Warranty?
A: In order to qualify for the 3 year No-Fade Guarantee you must have purchased at least one bottle of 303 UV Protectant per year from our web site or you can provide proof of purchase from another retailer at the time of the claim. This can be done in the initial order to save shipping costs or we can set you up on a scheduled delivery once per year with an automatic payment plan through Paypal. Please let us know if you want the extra protection in terms of your seat covers and our warranty.
Q: How can this high level of warranty be offered? What's the catch?
A: There is no catch or hidden agendas so stop trying to figure one out! We want to be the last seat covers you ever buy for your car, truck or Jeep. We are passionate about exceeding expectations. We can do this by offering something unexpected like our Lifetime Guarantee. We are showing our comitment to quality and exceptional customer service. We know and trust our customers. Q: What is your return policy? How about an exchange for a different color or upgrade to Premium Custom seat covers? A: We ask you for the opportunity to take care of any situations prior to returning for a refund. You came to us for seat covers and we want nothing more than to deliver on that expectation. We are happy to offer an Exchange Program to exchange the set for a different color for absolutely no cost. We will immediately send the new seat covers with a prepaid shipping label to return the first set. The same is true for an upgrade to a Premium Custom model (upgrade charges apply). We realize that there are times when the seat covers need to be returned for reasons beyond anyone's control. You may have sold or wrecked the car, truck or Jeep. You may not like the color and no other color will work and so on. So, we offer a 30 day Return Policy for returns in new condition and we issue a credit for your purchase price Shipping costs are not refundable in this situation but NO restocking fees will be charged. However, if there was a "free shipping" promotion when the purchase was made then a normal shipping cost (12% of total is average) will be deducted when the refund is issued. Please contact us for a return authorization prior to returning and, once again, let us know if you are not 100% satisfied with the seat covers to let us know what we can do for you.
Q: Are the seat covers washable? A: Yes. You can wash the seat covers on a gentle cycle and air dry. Do not use any harsh chemicals such as bleach or bleach related detergents. Air dry only. If you protect the seat covers with 303 UV Protectant then you may not need to ever wash the covers. You can wipe the seat covers clean or hose them off if there is a lot of dirt, mud, etc. The UV spray will not allow any sweat, dirt or grime to soak into the material which makes it very easy to clean.
Q: Are the seat covers easy to install? A: The seat covers are VERY EASY to install. They are secured with elstic straps and a variety of fasteners depending on the model.
Q: Do the seat covers cover the back of the seats? A: Seat Glovers brand seat covers cover the entire seat including the backs.
Q: Will my seats be able to recline once the seat covers are installed? A: Yes. The front seat covers allow for the reclining feature and the bench seat covers will be able to fold & tumble if you have that feature. In addition, we offer separate head rest covers and side air bag cutouts for the Jeep Wrangler JK model.
Q: What is the difference between Premium Custom and Regular Custom? Do all makes and models have the option of these levels?
A: The Premium Custom seat covers have the following features not found on the Regular Custom covers:
* Full neoprene (no lycra material) - the Regular Custom seat covers have lycra back and sides. This high quality material is 100% waterproof and used to keep the fit like a glove. However, some people prefer the 100% neoprene construction of the custom tailored set.
*Two piece construction - the others are one piece for top and bottom of the fronts. The back seat covers are two piece (upper & lower) on either set.
* Map pocket on the back of each front cover * Cutouts for the levers
* Improved straps and connectors
We offer these optional levels for the 1980-1996 Jeep Wrangler CJ/YJs and for the 1997-2002 Jeep Wrangler TJs. The Regular Custom model is an excellent choice for those looking for an "economy" level of seat cover that is still custom tailored to fit the exact seats in the Jeep and waterproof to cover old torn seats or spruce up an earlier model Jeep. The Premium Custom model is a great choice for the enthusiasts looking to build their dream Jeep with all the "bells & whistles". Both models are very affordable especially when considering the Lifetime Guarantee, No-Fade Warranty, Return/Exchange Policy and the comitment from us here at Seat Glovers to do whatever it takes to exceed your expectations and make this as enjoyable of a buying experience as possible.
Q: What carrier is used to ship? Is expedited shipping service available? Is shipping available to destinations outside the U.S. and Canada?
A: We ship DHL standard at our regular price. We also use UPS ground to Canada and USPS Priority to APO/FPO addresses and other addresses outside the contigeous U.S. for the same price.
We offer expedited shipping services but our web provider does not offer a choice of services at checkout so we have included these expedited services as a choice in a drop down menu on each product page. Please keep in mind that there may be a 24 hour handling time when chossing the expedite service. An overnight shipment could arrive in 2 days instead of the next day after the order. In addition, the expedited shipping services are for the lower 48 U.S. State only. Please contact us if you have a deadline or specific time frame needs or if we can be of any assistance.
We ship anywhere and everywhere. We have many loyal customers in Australia, Italy, France, England, The Islands and many other remote locations around the globe. Please add the appropriate shipping service to your order by adding the item to your cart at checkout.
Q: How long does it take for the seat covers to ship? Is tracking information or online tracking available?
A: We ship within 24-48 hours of receiving the order (M-F) and even on holidays if the carrier is "in service". We send tracking information to your email address at the time of shipment for all shipments except for the USPS Priority Mail Service. The tracking information is updated daily and available on the carrier's web site at www.DHL.com or www.UPS.com. We are not currently set up to offer the order tracking through this web site but we are working on it and hope to have it available soon.
Q: Why all of the programs and policies geared towards customer service?
A: We realize that it is very difficult making a buying decision on the Internet. Companies make claims but no one is there to hold them accountable. In addition to the insecurity of the transaction, it is also very difficult to buy a product sight unseen. Even if we have the right color on the right model on our pictures, you are not able to touch the material and feel the quality or see the color compared to the color of your car, truck or Jeep. So we have gone above and beyond customer's expectations to make the buying experience as relaxing and pleasurable as possible. There are too many things to worry about these day. You don't need to worry about your seat cover order and we are here to make sure you don't. We are members of many highly reputable oragnizations in addition to being affiliated with Jeep Clubs all over the world.
